Is Life Fair?

I keep hearing people talk about how life is unfair.  Your co-worker was promoted when when deserved it more.  Your neighbor just bought a new car.  You lost your job because your boss didn't like you.  I started wondering if there were any promises or guarantees that life was going to be fair.  I checked my ‘birth contract’ and sure enough – there is no guarantee!

Many people seem to think that opportunity means a chance to get money without earning it."

Life is not and will not be fair! The only thing that is fair about life is what you do about it. Zig Ziglar says that ‘you can react to life or you can respond to life’. He goes on to say that reacting breeds anger, depression, negativism and bitterness, while responding breeds hope, creativity and action.

Do you react to life or do you respond to life.  If you react, then you probably feel life is unfair.  If you respond, then you already understand that life is what you make of it.  Zig Ziglar also says that ‘you are where you are today because of the decisions you made in the past’.

How you respond to the events that occur in your life (and there will be many disappointments), will determine how fair life is to you.
