MOURN FOR ME

 

If today I follow death,

If death takes me far from here,

If I have no tracks behind,

If all my tears dry up,

If I walk the path to the other side,

If the darkness takes over,

If my eyes fall blind,

If my ears fall deaf,

Will you have the grace to mourn for me?

 

If they bury deep under the ground,

If they all say goodbye,

If days pass,

If weeks pass,

If months pass,

If years pass,

If everyone else forgets,

Will you have the grace to mourn for me?

 

If my tears fall from the sky,

If my anger is felt in the ground,

If my broken heart turns the sky grey,
