THE SUN AND THE MOON

The sun dances across the sky,

She smiles upon the earth.

But inside she is sad,

For she cannot be with the one she loves.

She brings with her light,

A sign of hope.

For soon they shall be together.

The moon slowly drags across the sky,

Forever shall he frown.

Fate has done him wrong.

For he cannot be with the one he loves.

He brings with him darkness,

He knows they will never be together.

But once every one hundred years,

They are allowed to be together.

But only for a moment.

As they join together,

Darkness descends upon the earth.
