Are
You Willing To Change?
We have all met someone who is constantly telling us about the sad state of their lives. They are continually telling us why they don’t deserve what ever is currently happening to them. Many of these people feel they are the victims of circumstances and they did nothing to bring this situation on themselves.
How about you? Are you the victim of your troubles? Are your troubles caused by outside influences and you are unjustly implicated? If so, what are you doing about solving the problem? You may not have created the problem, but if it is impacting you, you may need to take action to resolve the issue.

not that some people have willpower and some don't. |
You have heard the definition of insanity – ‘keep doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results’. Doing nothing to resolve a problem and expecting it to go away is also another form of insanity. Sure, some problems will resolve themselves overtime or maybe even go away completely, but in the mean time, how much impact is it having on your life, your happiness and your well-being?

They
always say that time changes things, |
You know by now that you can’t change other people’s behavior, but do you know that you can, and at times must, change your own behavior. It is called personal growth. It is the process of looking at who you are, why you do the things you do and then taking action to change any behavior that is detrimental to your happiness.
This is not an easy assignment, nor is it
a short term process. Most of are
not willing to admit we have any deficiencies, except those who have a low self-esteem,
but we can discuss that in a different article.
The process of personal growth requires an in-depth look at what drives
our behavior and a willingness to take action to change that behavior.
