So
You Think You’re Not Blessed?
Sometimes, when things aren’t going very well, we think to ourselves about the sad condition of our lives. We focus on our current problems such as being in debt, relationships that are struggling, a job we hate, or maybe not having a job. We begin to feel alone against the world, no where to go, no one to help. We begin to question our abilities and maybe even question our faith. If God is real, why am I having all these problems? Or even worst, we begin to wonder what we did to make God angry at us and cause all these problems!
| Whatever
you ask for in prayer with faith, you will receive. Matthew 21:22 |
It is only human nature when things aren’t going well to question our motives and our beliefs. One of the toughest things in life is getting beyond those thoughts and believing in yourself. One thing I am sure of, is that the God I know is not angry at you. He is a loving God who will provide for you when you ask for help. The problem most of us have with this concept is that we expect too much, too soon. We know what we want, so we expect immediate results, and when that doesn’t happen, we lose faith in prayer.

I prayed, |
Dr. Robert Schuller says that ‘God’s
delay’s are not God’s denial’. That
means that while we expect immediate results, God is not ready to answer that
prayer. Dr. Schuller goes on to say
that God may not be ready to provide that answer.
We may need to grow more in faith, or learn more about ourselves or the
world around us.
Take a look at what you are praying for and
see if there is any area of your life that can improved and better prepare you
to be ready for your prayers to be answered.
